The Solar Carve tower will soon be one of the most recognizable buildings in New York City’s iconic skyline. Named for its distinctive sculptural design, the building’s northwest and southeast corners are carved out of the 10-story tower with curved glass panels that maximize access to light and air. The installation of this unitized curtain wall, provided by Focchi, was a challenging but exciting process for Walsh Glass & Metal. The geometry of the glass called for a creative approach to engineering and installation, with the safety of our employees a top priority. Walsh is honored to be part of such a unique and complex project along New York City’s renowned High Line Park.
